The organization’s goal is to provide support and resources to women of faith facing challenges, such as access to technology and counseling services. We aim to prevent and respond to violence against these women, taking into account their religious and cultural backgrounds and the unique challenges faced by BAME women.
The organization hopes to normalize the topics of domestic abuse, female genital mutilation, and other issues related to violence against women and reduce the stigma surrounding them. We aim to empower women to speak out and increase transparency, accountability, and stability in these areas. We also aspire to bring on board professionals who understand the cultural and faith backgrounds of immigrant women and those in faith groups that do not allow divorce, and to create physical and virtual spaces for awareness, training, and empowerment. We aim to expand our reach and work with like minded and diverse faith group leaders to achieve these goals.
Women Together In This also supports individuals and families affected by forced displacement, migration, and resettlement challenges. We recognise that asylum seekers and newly recognised refugees often experience emotional distress, isolation, and barriers to accessing mainstream support.
Our approach offers culturally competent, trauma-informed emotional wellbeing support delivered in safe, welcoming, and community-based settings. This includes one-to-one emotional support, facilitated group wellbeing spaces, mental health awareness, and supported pathways into appropriate services.
This work builds on our wider experience supporting racially minoritised and faith-affected communities, ensuring dignity, safeguarding, and inclusion remain at the heart of everything we do.
